# Sylvera for Excel

Bring Sylvera Ratings, prices, and market data into your spreadsheets

Sylvera for Excel adds a **Sylvera** tab to Excel. Use it to look up a project's Rating, fill a column of Ratings beside your own project list, track prices by vintage, and build tables of projects that match your criteria. Every value is a live formula, so a workbook updates when you refresh it.

## What you can do

{% columns %}
{% column %}

#### Look up projects

Find a project by name or registry ID, preview its Rating and latest price, and insert any field into a cell.
{% endcolumn %}

{% column %}

#### Enrich your own lists

Select a column of registry IDs and add Ratings, prices, or project details beside it in one click.
{% endcolumn %}

{% column %}

#### Screen the catalog

Filter every project by project type, registry, region and country, accreditation, Rating, and On Watch, then insert the matches as a table.
{% endcolumn %}
{% endcolumns %}

You can also keep named project lists with Rating-change alerts, build price reports as of past dates, see credit volumes and who retired a project's credits, and chart credits issued, retired, and cancelled across the whole market.

## Before you start

* **Excel:** desktop Excel for Windows or Mac. Excel on the web isn't supported.
* **Sylvera login:** the same email and password you use for the Sylvera platform.
* **Access:** your organization needs Sylvera for Excel on its plan. Contact your Customer Success Manager to add it.

You see the same data in Excel as on the Sylvera platform. Fields your plan doesn't include show "Not available on your plan".

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.sylvera.com/excel-add-in/sylvera-for-excel.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
