# Find and screen projects

Search for one project, compare several, or screen the whole catalog

## Search

Select **Find project** and type in the search box. Results appear as you type.

* **By name:** "Kasigau", "Rimba Raya"
* **By registry and ID:** "VCS 1477", "GS 12003", "ACR 701"

Registry names are flexible: VCS and Verra, GS and Gold Standard, ACR, CAR, CDM, ACCU, ART and TREES, WCC, and Puro all work, in any case. See [Registry names](/excel-add-in/functions.md#registry-names) for the full list.

## Compare and act on several projects

Tick the checkbox on two or more search results. A bar appears with:

* **Add to list:** save them to a [project list](/excel-add-in/project-lists.md)
* **Insert table:** one row per project. Use **Columns** to choose the fields
* **Compare:** two to four projects side by side, which you can also insert

## Screen the catalog

Select **Fetch projects** to open **Screen**. It covers every project in the catalog, c.28K, not only rated ones.

Filter by any combination of:

* **Project type**, grouped by project category. Tick a category to select all of its types
* **Registry**
* **Region and country**, with countries grouped by region. Tick a region to select all of its countries
* **Accreditations:** CCP labelled, CCB approved, and CORSIA CP1 eligible. A project must have every one you tick
* **Rating**, including Unrated
* **Avoidance, Removal, or Mixed**
* **On Watch**

The match count and a preview update as you change filters. Choose your columns, then select **Insert**. Each match becomes an editable row: Registry and Project ID are plain values, and the other columns are Sylvera formulas. You can delete rows without breaking the table. A Latest price column is followed by a Vintage column, so you can see which vintage each price is for.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Limits.** Up to 10,000 rows per insert, or 500 when a column needs a separate lookup for each project: Latest price, project details such as Country or Methodology, credit volumes, and Previous rating.
{% endhint %}

Region, country, and accreditation filters cover every project, rated or not. The first time you open Screen, they take a few minutes to load. After that, they're ready straight away and refresh once a day.

To reuse your filters, select **Save as default**. Screen opens with them next time. Clear them in **Settings**.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.sylvera.com/excel-add-in/find-and-screen-projects.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
