# The Sylvera ribbon and pane

What each button on the Sylvera tab does

The **Sylvera** tab groups its buttons by job, left to right.

| Group         | Button            | What it does                                                                                                                                          |

| **Templates** | Templates | Inserts a ready-made table, such as every rated project, with or without scores |

## The pane

The pane opens on the right. Its views are:

* **Home:** find a project, preview it, and insert fields or a table. Below the search, **Market totals** inserts ready-made market tables
* **Screen:** filter the whole catalog and insert the matches. See [Find and screen projects](/excel-add-in/find-and-screen-projects.md)
* **Lists:** your named project lists and Rating-change alerts. See [Project lists](/excel-add-in/project-lists.md)
* **Enrich:** a guided version of **Add columns**. Select the cells with your registry and project IDs, choose fields, then select **Fill table**. It checks your IDs first and reports any it can't match
* **Functions** and **Settings**, the question mark and gear icons

The book icon next to them opens this guide in your browser.

The bar at the top shows whether you're connected and when the workbook's data was last refreshed.

## Insert fields or a table

When you preview a project, choose either:

* **Fields:** tick any number. They're inserted as one `SYL.DATA` formula, one cell per field. Latest price is followed by its vintage.
* **A table:** price history, every vintage with its price, credit volumes, top buyers, or the full project profile. A table fills the cells below and to the right of the selected cell.

You can choose fields or a table, not both at once.

## Market totals

On **Home**, under **Market totals**, select a table to insert it at the selected cell:

* **Issuances, retirements, cancellations:** credits issued, retired, and cancelled each year since 2017
* **Retirements by project category:** project categories down, years across
* **Issuances by project category:** the same layout, so it lines up beside the retirements table

Each is a `SYL.MARKET` formula you can edit. See [Functions](/excel-add-in/functions.md) for its options.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.sylvera.com/excel-add-in/ribbon-and-pane.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
